Welcome to the New Hampshire State Organization Daughters of the American Revolution!
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America's future through better education. DAR consists of nearly 175,000 members in 3,000 chapters across the world.
Organized in 1892, the New Hampshire State Organization (NHSODAR) continues to work tirelessly to uphold and promote the objectives of the National Society. Mrs. Phyllis Gagnon is our forty-ninth State Regent. Her theme for the 2013 - 2016 term is "Celebrating and Strengthening a Lasting Profile of Patriotism and Service."
Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution honors and preserves the legacy of your patriot ancestor. Over two hundred years ago, American patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. As a member of DAR, through participation in the Society's various programs and activities, you can continue this legacy by actively supporting historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors. Click on the membership link for more information.
The NHSODAR is made up of twenty chapters from across the state. We actively seek new members who are women 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution.
Mrs. Gagnon welcomes you to learn more about NHSODAR. Please contact us for more information. We look forward to hearing from you.
